Making your home safe

It is important to make your home as safe as possible for your baby. This is where they will spend a lot of time and a safe place for them to explore and development will ensure that there is a limited risk of injury.

Young children do not understand risk or danger and are not able to mange their own safety.

You may need to get down to their level to find possible risks or safety concerns within your home. These risks will also change as your baby develops and they learn to crawl, walk and climb. Therefore until your child is older you may need to continuously address areas of concern within your home.
